When a space is intended to reflect performance and prestige, every element must perform to the same standard. In a newly renovated luxury automotive showroom in Tbilisi, Georgia, Stonhard delivered a premium resin flooring system to convert the showroom into a high-end retail environment characterised by precision, elegance and confidence.
Challenges & Customer Requirements
The original interior was built on industrial concrete, structurally sound, but visually unsuited to a luxury automotive setting. The floor had to be completely reworked to support a surface that met strict aesthetic expectations while delivering slip resistance, seamless design and long-term durability.
At the same time, the visual bar was set exceptionally high. The finished floor needed to appear refined and natural, providing contrast without competing with the vehicles on display. Balancing performance with presentation became the project’s defining challenge.
Solution
To meet these dual requirements, Stonhard specified its Crush Titanium 1–2 mm Sealed system. Crush is a trowelled resin flooring system inspired by natural aggregates, designed to bring an outdoor aesthetic into contemporary interiors. For this project, the Titanium finish created a calm, stone-like surface that complemented the sculpted forms and bold finishes of the vehicles, allowing them to remain the focal point of the space.
Beyond its visual impact, the system was selected for its technical performance under showroom conditions. Installed across 150 m² of showroom space, it features a textured, slip-resistant surface that enhances visitor safety and a seamless finish that supports easy cleaning and a consistently pristine appearance. UV resistance protects colour integrity under intense lighting, and scratch resistance ensures the floor retains its premium look despite continuous foot traffic and vehicle movement.
The result is a surface that does not compete for attention but quietly elevates the environment, anchoring the space with natural elegance while delivering the durability demanded by a high-end retail setting.
This project was defined by its demand for visual precision. Every square metre of flooring had to meet exacting standards, leaving no margin for inconsistency or compromise. Achieving this required meticulous preparation and controlled application to produce a uniform, flawless finish.
